It may be a good school for you. VCU is a pretty safe university with a significant security presence, but there are some issues with some of the surrounding areas in regards to crime. it seriously has A LOT of really artsy people and sometimes maybe some of them aren't the friendliest but some of the coolest people i know go to VCU. However the student population is massive so it could be harder or easier to make friends. VCU is in the ghetto. At my current college, I get a reply the same day and I dont even have to be on hold for 30 mins like at vcu. I have met really great people. Maybe I'm just old and grumpy, but I talk to my friends at Tech & UVA and they can't relate to half the things I say about VCU.
